Manon Yankovich ❯ it's a beautiful day to be burning in hell. | ||||||||||

❯ character description
Measurements | Rabbit Form
- 27lbs in weight
- 5.2 long
Strictly speaking, his rabbit form is basically just a lop-eared blob with pale blond fur and a cotton ball for a tail. His wide lavender eyes are perpetually vacant, covered by a thin film that belays his inability to see. A plethora of gruesome scars lay just beneath his soft coat, disfiguring what once had been tender skin into a calloused expanse of deep craters which most are hesitant to even touch.
Measurements | Human Form
- 120lbs in weight
- 5'6" in height
It's hard to really know what to expect from Manon, given that he's seems to be so lithe in human form; yet he's still endowed with sufficient muscle from his militant days. He's small enough that a lot of folks tend to underestimate his strength and wits on a daily basis. Maybe it's because his ridiculously fine blond hair is long enough for the bangs to reach a few inches past his chin, hiding his face, while the rest of it spills down almost to the middle of his back.
Maybe it's due to his velveteen ears that droop to rest against either side of his head; or the way he wraps every possible inch of his skin—that isn’t covered by his clothing—in bandages to prevent anyone from spying the tapestry of self-inflicted scars etched into his skin over the years. Whatever the case is, hardly anyone assumes him skilled (let alone capable) enough to gut them clean with the blade of his sword in broad daylight and leave them to die. But he is, he has, and he'll do it again. The lesson here? Don't judge a book by its cover.
Note: His daily attire usually consists a pair of soft light-colored slacks, a loose shirt with long sleeves, and comfortable loafers. There's always some variety of weapon on his person that he keeps concealed - whether it be a sword, dagger, or even a pistol.
❯ personality
Manon's...a little off, to say the least. He seems like he's always in a daze of some sort; one that goes well beyond just being “tired”. This makes it very difficult for him to keep up with long-winded conversations, and why trying to articulate his own thoughts to other people is often an exhausting endeavor. There are times when he ends up forgetting things like names and surroundings (especially if he's worn out/under stress), but these moments don't typically last that long. It's whenever he forgets his own name that such occurences start to become a great cause for concern, because things will start to go downhill fast - which then brings us to:
Although he's made a great deal of progress in the past few years he's still susceptible to complete, utter breakdowns (see history). There are no concrete triggers for these episodes as far as anyone knows; what set him off today could be totally different tomorrow, but each incident carries the risk of turning fatal. Overall, patience is one of the most important skills one needs to exercise when interacting with the odd man. All of his apparent challenges aside, his kindness and loyalty toward those he's come to consider trustworthy knows no bounds.
Other things to know:

Other things to know:
1) He doesn't like physical contact unless he's the one who initiates it. Touching him without permission is almost always a surefire way to get him to shut down, unless you're one of his kids. 2) He has a (figurative) open door policy. If there's a kid who has no family, no place to go, or if they just want a free hot meal - come on by and he'll take you in no questions asked. 3) His ears are extremely sensitive, and it's really hard to him to concentrate in an environment that's constantly busy and loud. Don't touch them unless you want to see him go batshit nuts. 4) Speaking of sensitive, his nose picks up even the faintest of scents. If there's something permeating the air: incense, food, alcohol...he'll most likely throw up or pass out. Or both. 5) Since he can't properly digest much of anything other than vegetables, he stays away from the rest of the main food groups.
❯ class information
Flemish Giants are the largest breed of hare, both valued and hunted for their meat and fur. Although they're generally very docile, they are capable of inflicting serious bite/scratch wounds when they feel threatened. These humongous critters are also equipped with a sublime sense of hearing to better detect predators, which Manon inherited. Some other characteristics that can be attributed to his species are his agility and speed. Admittedly these aren't very noticeable in rabbit form (given his weight), but in human form he's as light on his feet as can be. Not only is he fast, he can also jump spectacularly high. And even though he has no way of knowing if it's a trait that originated from his biological family or not, he's had visions for as long as he can remember - along with the ability to sense/communicate with spirits.
They're...sort of like premonitions; very few of them have ever focused on past events, and they come to him at random. Of course, there are times when what he sees misses the mark. The future is subject to to change every moment of every day, so it's impossible for him to be 100% accurate. Each one, however, pulls at him with an all-consuming urge. If he neglects to go investigate whatever the vision was concerned with, or is kept from it, it drives him crazy. His entire body crawls with a sense of uneasiness until he's able to address it and/or accomplish what he's supposed to. The visions themselves can last anywhere from one minute to ten, but they all seem like an eternity to him; he's sucked in completely and can do nothing more than hang on for the ride until it's over. Most are experienced in the point of view of whatever or whoever the scene centers around (ex. If the vision is about a child, he experiences it from the child's eyes). Furthermore, it isn't uncommon for Manon to have seizures following or during a vision. The whole ordeal leaves him heavily disoriented.
