❯ character description
Lurisi's upper body
A poor attempt to conceptualize her body below her waist
While appearing as a humanoid from the waist-up, Lurisi's lower body was a four-legged form that was very hard to miss in a crowd. If you considered her upper body size from a humanoid perspective, she would likely be around 5'5'' or so. However, if you measured the full length of Lurisi's body, you'd measure 9 meters! That meant that Lurisi's 'lower' body made up the majority of her weight. Those learned of fae species would readily identify her as a category of humanoid dragons known for their long, lithe bodies and for a varying level of fur as opposed to scales. For Lurisi, her entire body was covered in fur as opposed to scale, though the density of this fur varied. Lu's upper body was comprised of a very thin layer of fur, almost invisible to the naked eye. Her stomach/underbelly fur was colored a pale silvery color while her back was colored by very dark jade color. Lurisi's lower body had a slightly thicker coat of fur, the entirety of her tail's back having a strip of long fur running along her spine. The dragon's upper body had two clearly humanoid arms with normal five-fingered hands while her lower body had four bestial digitigrade legs featuring pads and retractable claws. One set of legs was positioned close to her waist while the other was nearly halfway down her tail's length. Finally, the end of Lurisi's tail ended with very fluffy fur.
As if that body of hers wouldn't have made travel difficult enough, Lurisi also had a pair of desaturated purple horned antlers growing from the sides of her temple, angled diagonally so that they were both horizontal and vertical in respect to her body when standing. Her face was very human save for the colors they exhibited and she had long, desatured dark jade hair; it was almost black hair all things considered. For one reason or other, Lurisi had two long strands of hair near her hair, with the right strand of hair nearly twice as long than the left strand of hair. Lu's face, overall, had a more rounded appearance with few angular features exhibited from her nose, jaw, eyes or anything of the sort. On that note, the dragon's eyes were a similar color to her horns, though a more bright sort of purple color.
Lu had little love for uniforms, often preferring to dress herself. Dressing her upper body was a lot easier than dressing her lower body, though...

❯ personality
Lurisi is a woman who moves at her own natural rhythm, sometimes to the betterment or at other times to the annoyance of others. Deciding simple things such as what to eat, where to lodge for the day or how to approach a group of people can take a seemingly unnatural amount of time for her to decide. Conversely, thinking on the intricacies of a food recipe or prattling on about something she loves are typically much faster decisions. Put simply, there are things that Lurisi is comfortable with finalizing and there are things that she is simply not. What makes this such a definitive trait of Lu's is that, when she is thinking on something, she typically becomes very deeply engrossed with her decision making both mentally and physically. Being engrossed in thought is characterized by a relaxed jawline, eyes which stare toward nothing in particular or stare at something and relaxed brows. Some of these decisions can take awhile, even ten whole minutes of pure silence if you don't interrupt her. As a result, though, Lurisi tends to be patient of others.
Very much so a forward thinker in part because of her unique thought process, Lu is never the type to accept 'impossible' as a valid answer. No matter how long, convoluted or otherwise 'difficult' something becomes the young woman will struggle through the problem. That has also left her a bit of a romanticist, though – it is not uncommon to hear Lu waxing poetical with something she's set her mind on. If only the fuzzy maiden was as good at paying attention as she was getting ideas, though! While not because of a lack of interest, the aloof woman has a disturbing tendency to forget certain things, even things that she had set up only moments before. Lu could have put a wanted ad for someone to meet her at some place, wait at said place and then get confused when a mercenary approaches her asking about work. Thankfully, all it takes is a gentle reminder for the absent-minded woman to get her facts straight and in order.
While Lu tends to be a little bit muted with most of her expressions, that does not make her seem emotionless. That is because she actually emotes quite a bit; the problem is that she is not particularly good at controlling her expressions. During serious or solemn moments, Lu may appear uninterested or cold depending on what's going on, yet whenever someone cracks their neck or knuckles or anything of the sort she appears emotionally distraught and sometimes even tears up a little. That doesn't mean Lu is uninterested or cold and that doesn't mean Lu is particularly bothered by the bone popping, it's just a problem she's had with expression since she was born. She instead has to mentally focus and consciously emote when she thinks she's supposed to. It helps somewhat, then, that Lu is typically well organized and the type to make plans. However, she also tends to procrastinate things that are not critical. Putting a deadline on this young woman is no easy task! Part of the reason is because of her tendency to overlook things other people think are simple that complicate her daily life, though in general Lu likes to do things at her own pace anyway.
Lurisi tends to be the nosy type, one who is entranced by a good mystery. Whether it's gossip, tips, paths or outright secrets this woman likes to know all about it! As a result she also tends to find the concept of adventuring and travelling in the romantic sense, wondering about all of the danger and wonder that lies in secret throughout the world. Being so very determined to succeed, however, can take its toll. Lu tends to be excessively critical on herself. Rather paradoxically, Lurisi's tendency to worry can actually cause her to fail something because of her worry. That would then cause her to worry more, causing a downward spiral of sorts. Because of these traits Lurisi tends to make decisions that put more burden on herself than others, always worried about 'falling behind' in usefulness.
Lurisi is the type who tends to like 'stuff' – possessions and glamour. This can lead her to be a bit selfish and greedy, traits which obfuscate how generally selfless she is when it comes to aiding others, even when money is involved. Just don't expect her to foot the bill in a restaurant. This is a particularly bad problem considering her voracious appetite!

❯ class information
Lurisi could be compared to a lamia due to the length of her lower body and its similarity to a tail. Yet, Lu could also be compared to a centaur because she has four legs and two arms. However, these comparisons fall flat compared to her classification as a type of humanoid dragon.
The powers associated with dragons can vary wildly. For Lurisi, it's the ability to levitate her own body at will, heralded only by a gentle breeze intrinsic to her body at the moment of levitation. When floating, Lu can 'swim' through the air, snaking through the atmosphere like some sort of weightless eel at about the same speed a human can sprint. If she doesn't move her body in this specific way she cannot actually 'move' herself beyond simply floating in the air. With that in mind, Lurisi's levitation ability has a few notable weaknesses. The most obvious one is that it's usefulness is limited in most indoor areas; she's nine meters long, after all. Although levitating is as easy as standing to Lurisi, that does mean she'll eventually need to set herself down, while snaking through the air to move is about as tiring as running is. Lastly, powerful winds or vacuums disrupt or completely disable her ability to levitate. Rather usefully, however, Lurisi can support the weight of three normal humans holding onto her while levitating!
As for Lurisi's physical capabilities, they're hit or miss. Her capacity to carry weight is astounding when compared to a human, a single normal human could hitch a ride on her back without making Lurisi feel weakened what-so-ever. Her front legs could conceivably be used to claw people, though they aren't razor sharp or anything. Again, her legs can take a lot of weight, but overall they aren't designed for kicking or combat. The muscles in her tail are pretty strong, so using it like a flail or trapping a strong sort in a coil are possible. Overall, she has her uses in a fight.
Lurisi's key weakness is that she's a gigantic target. She's relatively agile for her size, but she's also six meters long and not amazingly strong to compensate for her size.

❯ history
[Note: I have left many details of this story vague. The reason of this is so that anyone who is interested can fill in parts of Lu's history with their own characters if they so wish!!!]
Born as a slave to a wealthy family in Pyre, Lurisi... should have had one incredibly troubled upbringing. First off, she was a slave. Second off, she only had a single mother! That bad example of a mother had gotten so deep into debt from gambling that the group she had been borrowing from took her and sold her off as a slave. Large dragons weren't exactly known for their high birthrates due to their size, so they were valued well enough as slaves. Naturally, Lurisi's mother had been pregnant before being sold off, the father supposedly cutting all connections once he realized the trouble Lurisi's mother was in.
Third off, Lu was also born 'different,' initially heralded by incessant spells of crying that had no discernible reason for beginning or ending. That wasn't especially odd, though the fact she learned the fundamentals of walking, levitating and talking notably slow was a much more worrisome fact. Fortunately, the individuals who bought Lu's mother were not heartless, though they were certainly filthy rich. Lu might've been a problem child, yet her owners didn't treat her poorly as a result. They even paid a doctor to look into the two in order to discern what, if any, problem Lurisi had rather than simply blow it off! With this early screening and a very well paid doctor, Lu was diagnosed with a few conditions primarily related to mental health. However, none were especially severe; all she would require was special training in order to fit in better. It would be a constant hurdle to overcome with infinite challenges, but none would be impossible to overcome.
So, you might be thinking, why did these people buy Lu's mother, then? The most obvious was as a status symbol; owning less common slaves would be good for prestige. There were definitively other possible reasons, though that one is good enough for now. Lu's mother was basically made into the personal mount of the owners, as a generalized servant and as a pack mule at times. Even so, she had fair lodging that blew slum living out of the water. As a bonus, most people treated her like a person working a job as opposed to property. Most of the time, anyway - Lu's mother was a rather docile slave so there was little reason to punish or otherwise put the dragon in her place. The gambling woman wasn't so bold as to risk raising a child without aid; she pretty much needed her owners. As for Lu, she saw many caretakers come and go. Her actual mother was there sometimes, though when she was busy Lu would instead be raised by some of her owners. Some thought the little dragon was adorable and didn't envy her problems, while others thought she was more of a nuisance and were only looking after Lu because the other owners put them up to it. Likewise, there were a few kids who spent time with Lurisi and again, this had varying results. In general, Lu wanted to socialize with others, yet at the same time she was terrified of socializing because of how often she confused or even angered others by accident.
One might say Lu was even spoiled by her owners as she grew up. Still, Lu always knew her place and was happy to stay a slave back in the day, though as a result nobody really taught her now to read or write. Lu did learn here and there from third-hand experience, but it was minimal at best. Lu spent a great deal of time with two things, however; one child that she grew up with and a chef. Whether the chef liked it or not, Lu was absolutely in love with many aspects of preparing meals! Much of what she learned with reading and writing came from her experiences trying to be like a chef, actually! As for the child, it was an individual who Lu trusted deeply, someone who put up with all of Lu's oddities and problems for one reason or another. As for Lu's situation as a slave... she obviously wanted to become a chef as she grew up. However, while most of her owners liked her company to some extent and treated her very nicely, they did not trust her to cook their meals. Because of her issues, they saw her as relatively incompetent. Instead, Lu was planned to be one of their mounts, much like Lu's mother had been. This had torn at the poor woman for quite some time, though there wasn't much she can do about it.
Times changed when something terrible, something that not even Lu remembers, happened. This mysterious event occurred sometime relatively recently, when she was twenty years old. She doesn't remember because she was struck with amnesia when it happened. The poor dragon was out with her childhood friend, an activity her owners allowed due to how much Lurisi was trusted. After that crisis Lurisi had amnesia spanning across the entirety of her life, so it was fortunate that she was found by a friendly Enforcer and returned to her owners. Once returned, Lu was able to recover. Since then, Lu had remembered just about the entirety of her life, though the fate of her friend and even their face and voice had since escaped her grasp. Only the fact that they were very important to her, somehow, yet remains...
Nearly a year passes as Lu recovers and then worries over the unknown friend. This worry culminated In a show of surprising rebellion when Lurisi ran away from her owners, abusing their trust with her. She didn't care if they were personally looking for the missing adult (who may or may not have been related to the owners) or not - Lurisi wanted to contribute to finding the child herself. She couldn't live with herself if she never found this mysterious individual, someone who inadvertently took a piece of Lurisi with themselves when they (supposedly) disappeared. To that end, the young woman went to become an Enforcer, joining as a cadet. By the time Lurisi's owners had figured out where their slave had run off, she had already been a cadet for a whole month!
Lurisi's owners have yet to confront the woman or offer payment to the Enforcers to return the woman, though it may only be a matter of time. Until then, Lurisi fully intends to recklessly charge into this decision of hers.
