❯ adding music to your profile
Hello! As some of you might have noticed, with our new mini profiles, a feature has been added that allows you to add music! To the left you can see by own mini profile, which at the top has a media player that you can play a song of my choice with.
So, since it's such a fun feature, why not get familiar with how to utilize it? If you need further help or this guide didn't help, please reply below or contact a staff member!
Now, first thing's first, you're going to need to know where to edit your music. If you navigate the site to your Profile, then click "Edit Profile", then get to the "Personal" tab and scroll down a bit, you should see quite a few areas you can type in, called Custom Profile Fields. The one you'll want to use right now is labeled "MP3 Link".
It'll tell you to put a link in this section, but we don't quite have one yet, so we'll save that for later.
Next, head over to Kiwi6 and create an account. You can just do this however, just make sure you create one or you won't be able to get your MP3 link!
Once you've made your account, you should see a button in the top right hand corner that says "Account", go ahead and click that and from the drop-down menu select "File Manager". This will bring you to, you guessed it, your file manager.
Now what you'll want to do is click "Upload Files", then "Browse", and select the MP3 file you want to put in your mini profile from your file explorer. Once that's uploaded, it'll bring you to a page with your file there. Go ahead and copy the Direct Link given to you, as shown below.
Take that link and bring it over to your MP3 Link custom field, then just paste it there and save!
Now you should have a nice little music player in both your profile and mini profile. Congrats, and I look forward to listening!
If you're unaware of how to download a Youtube video as an MP3, you can easily just go to Convert2MP3 and follow the steps there to download it. Other mediums, such as dailymotion, etc. on which videos can be found can probably be converted easily via different converters found online. Just be sure to be safe when you're looking for one, so you don't accidentally let a virus or malware on your device!
