❯ character description
A very tall and somewhat leanly built man, no one would guess that Ace actually has muscle beneath those formal garments of his. Though it's not very much, his relatively toned body is one able to withstand rather strong attacks to some extent, giving him a self-deemed trump card (albeit not a very good one) if and whenever he gets into scuffles. Other than his height, Ace has an all-around very average appearance. Black hair, slightly wavy at the ends and falling just short of the nape of his neck, frames a creamy-white skinned face. His eyes are almost almond-shaped, though not quite, with strange storm grey irises that seem to ebb and flow like ocean waves. They are constantly in motion, an unnatural trait that Ace has little to no control over.
Clothing-wise, Ace is a very picky person. His wardrobe is limited yet vast, filled with garments of very similar styles, but very different executions. Typically he'll be found wearing more formal clothes, almost always monochrome with the occasional pop of color. Suits and ties and one of his favorite outfits, the bartender uniform, make up Ace's fashion sense in a strange combination of formal and casual styles, and he is never found without his most beloved accesory: the fedora.
Usually hidden beneath his clothes are a pair of tattered black wings, which are so broken that he's unable to fly with them. Ace sees them as an embarrassment, hence why he keeps them out of the eye of most he meets, and due to how sensitive they are he's very strict about letting anyone touch them.

❯ personality
Contrary to what some would expect of a government official, Ace is surprisingly laid back and, well, lazy. He doesn't like to exert much energy, only doing the bare minimum of what is necessary unless it's going towards something he greatly enjoys. Ace also has a rather strange sense of humor, one that most would find vulgar and unfitting of a council member. He could care less what others think, though, for he has plenty of authority over anyone that views him in a bad light.
One thing Ace does have in common with those that are also part of the government, however, is his affinity for the torturing of those he doesn't like. Though it's not something he does often, nor is it something he actually enjoys, Ace does in fact have a special place for his enemies and people he views as nuisances. Sadly, though, or maybe for the best, Ace can't stand the sight of blood, or anything about it for that matter. The smell, color, everything related to blood, makes him feel sick to his stomach, to the point that he's barely able to move or function properly at all. So, in the event that he does have someone he feels the need to get rid of, he'll have his trusty lap dog Tala do it for him, while he watches patiently from the sidelines.
Now, most can, to an extent, disregard Ace's vast amounts of personality flaws. But, one that is very difficult, if not impossible, to ignore is his unhealthy addiction to gambling. Ace relentlessly frequents every pub known to existence in Pyre, searching for a good game of poker or blackjack or snake eyes. Most of his money is spent betting on who will win, or offering it up because he thinks he has a good hand. Now naturally he's never actually lost, for those who beat him and take his bets will soon after be left broken on the streets, with any valuables they might have had taken. But, despite being a sore loser, Ace plays fair, never cheating or making dishonest statements about whether or not he has the card his opponent is looking for.

❯ class information
Ace is an angel. A fallen one, naturally. What he did to fall, however, is something he completely forgets and doesn't actually want to remember in the first place. At one point, before he fell, he was a powerful and reverred being, with snowy white hair and wings and bright, beautiful blue eyes. He was a different person entirely. But alas it did not last long, for soon enough he broke whatever vow it was that he made, and lost everything that he once had. He's unable to fly, for the scarring of his wings is too great, and lost most of his expertise in magic. However, one thing he did not lose was the ability to peer into the minds and hearts of mortal beings, and manipulate them to his will. Ace takes pride in his talent for bringing to light others' deepest, darkest fears and desires, a power that comes in handy with his high standing in the city's government.
Though not enough to be very noticeable, Ace has in fact trained to some extent in the art of combat, though not as most would think. He did not take classes, nor did he learn by getting into many fights. Instead, he spent much time observing the scuffles that humans indulged themselves in, mentally teaching himself where to hit and what foot to put pressure on when going in for a punch. Ace doesn't enjoy getting into fights that involve real action, but in the event that he does end up a part of one, he can be a rather useful comrade to have.

❯ history
Ace remembers little of his life before he fell, and he doesn't see the need to recall it in the first place. After all, it's not as though he can go back to the way things were anyway, not that he really wants to. He was born as an angel, a being most reverred as holy and associated with whatever higher powers they believed in. His parents were angels as well, and their parents were the same. He was of a purebred line of "messengers of God", and he used it to his advantage.
Because of his bloodline, Ace was given what most would view as "special treatment". He was given offerings by those who believed he could grant good luck, and even became the person others would go to when they needed to repent. Though annoying at first, Ace came to enjoy this attention he constantly recieved, and the extent of it all caused him to grow... well, lazy. He became used to how spoiled he was, and fell into the mindset that if everything were to be done for him, he wouldn't have to do anything himself. Perhaps that is what caused him to fall, or perhaps it was something else entirely that he doesn't care enough to remember. But, whichever it was, soon after he started relying so heavily on others he began to turn. His wings and hair lost their pure white color, gaining the ebony hue of a raven's feathers. His eyes became void of their beautiful blue shade, leaving a stormy grey in their wake. He lost his ability to fly, an agonizing pain lacing through his wings with each attempt he made.
He had fallen.
Soon after he fell, Ace became the black sheep of his family, and was eventually disowned. Not that he cared much about them in the first place, but living with nothing after once having everything in the world, it was a hard thing to cope with. Nonetheless, Ace luckily enough managed to pick himself up, his talent for manipulation only strengthening with his fall. He rose back up to his former social standing soon enough, and in the process managed to grab the attention of the King. The pieces just fell snugly into place after that, his status only growing as he gained the trust of Pyre's figurehead, and before anyone could even bat an eye he had made it all the way up to the position of a Council member, running the show from the shadows.
Because of how quickly he managed to rise to the top, many assume that Ace cheated his way into the Council, though he assures them all that he did not. However, he's never explained to the general public just how he was able to make it to where he is in such a small amount of time, and because of that he's the subject of a lot of skepticism, and the truth of the matter remains a well-kept mystery.
