With eyes the color of liquid gold and smooth, olive skin, Kalder is pleasant to look at, though his face is always twisted into a sort of dangerous expression. His eyes are sharp, taking in everything but giving nothing away. His lips are always pressed into a hard line, almost a frown, but not quite. Thick brown hair grows in disheveled waves that flow down from the top of his head to the middle of his back. It is always tied at the nape of the neck, and the ends are dyed with a crimson red. Equipped with broad shoulders and rippling muscles, Kalder cuts a very intimidating masculine figure. He stands at 6'4", towering over most others. He dresses in simple garb, unless he is smuggling something into the kingdom. Kalder's most common dress is a dark leather jack with dull golden buttons, a white cotton shirt, and loose-fitting pants. A sash of purple fabric is constantly tied around his waist. Another signature of his is the dragon tattoo that winds up his left arm and stops at the shoulder. Around his neck is a locket of ashes, from who or what nobody knows.

Gruff and passionate, Kalder is a personality that burns with the fire of a thousand suns. Nothing phases him, and everyone that tries to break through his barrier hits a stone wall that encases his heart. He is a wild man, determined and savage. He very rarely takes the time to learn anyone's name, and keeps everyone at arm's length. Everything he does is at 100%. Kalder doesn't whine, he just does. His mind is always turning, which makes him a formidable opponent as well as a devious person. Very manipulative, he can get almost anyone to do what he wants. Strong and impervious to most emotional things, he keeps it all bottled inside. Except for anger, he lets that out without a second thought. No one dares to infuriate him, for his rage is immense and terrifying. Kalder doesn't like to take orders from anyone, because he thinks he can do it better.

But all of this stems from his past... He never talks about it, and for good reason. Inside, he is burning with grief and fury, but he holds it in. Surprisingly, the tough man loves children and is gentle with women. If one earns his love, he will protect them with his entire being, soul and body. But is it possible to break his walls?

The rarest form of Jinn, the Dragon Genies are often called the most powerful of the species. It has been an argument with the Marid Jinns for centuries. The two are similar in some respects, but both hold immense power that has the ability to level an entire kingdom if need be. No Genie has ever been born with that much strength, but they know it is possible.

Dragon Jinn are revered for their strength of body and mind. And are characteristically fiery in personality. They have the distinct ability to commune with dragons, and can even combine minds with one in their lifetime. If that ever happens, they will stay together forever. It is a rare thing, and a Jinn could go their entire life without finding their dragon.

From a very young age, Kalder knew he was different. His parents envied him for his abilities, and pushed him emotionally and physically to become the best at everything he did. It took a toll on the child, causing him to become gruff and impatient, as well as harsh. The other kids didn't enjoy his company because of it, and instead ignored and shamed him, avoiding him at all costs. It might have also been because of his dangerous powers, which at that point sometimes went unchecked. Until one day, a little girl approached him. She was beautiful, with flowing dark hair and sparkling blue eyes. The small boy was instantly enamored, and she became the first person that he ever opened up to. They became so close that they were inseparable, sharing absolutely everything with each other. As they grew up, the two fell deeper and deeper in love, and married at the age of 16. Two years later, she gave birth to a son, but all was not well... The childbirth had been hard, and she never quite healed completely. The baby as well was weak, having stayed in the womb for too long. Eventually, they both died, leaving Kalder mind-numbingly alone.

Anger become his main emotion, trying to stuff the grief down deep inside. Still young, he decided to try his hand at being a gladiator, and used his all-consuming fury to strike down his opponents. He became a champion, and earned himself a name and quite a few scars. It helped for awhile, but it didn't last forever. As he got older, Kalder realized that the kingdom was only feeding his emotions, so he learned to sail. And soon after joined a band of pirates.
